Ryan White, LPC

I offer a safe space, a judgement free zone, and a place for you to be you.

Ages 7+
In-person in Highland Village and Virtually anywhere in Texas.

I was an accountant for 6 ½ years. I enjoyed my time in that career but felt I was missing something, my true purpose in life. I found a piece of my life’s destiny in becoming an educator. I taught middle school science for 13 years in Frisco ISD. I was named Teacher of the Year for the 2020-2021 school year! In that time, I discovered my true passion which is to help adolescents with mental health. I feel like my life’s journey has given me the tools to truly listen to teens and understand their problems. My three years of experience as a therapist has made me realize that I truly enjoy working with people of all ages including couples and families. I am very passionate about helping people, couples and families looking to existentially explore who they are and, together, develop a plan to help them feel more authentic and whole.

  • If you're looking for a therapist who works with kids, I'm here to help your child navigate big emotions, difficult transitions, or challenging behaviors. I provide a compassionate, playful, and supportive space where your child can express themselves freely, develop coping skills, and build emotional resilience. Together, we can work through issues such as anxiety, grief, trauma, or family changes, so your child can thrive both at home and in school. I'm for you if you're seeking someone who understands kids and believes in their ability to heal and grow.

  • Adolescents and young adults can expect help in dealing with negative, intrusive thoughts, lack of spirit and/or motivation, anxiety and depression. I like to use REBT (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy) to define core values and belief systems and to challenge whether or not their current reality aligns with those beliefs. I also use existentialism to find their spirit and purpose so that they can operate as their true self.

I love working with couples! I love hearing their reality and ways that we can work on communication, rules of engagement and how to respect the others’ individuality. I think it is important to set goals that allow couples to respect each other’s boundaries and to work on ways to grow together in a healthier way, as well as, discover each other’s love language.

  • I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and member of the American Counseling Association. I received a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from the University of Amberton. I also received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Texas State University.
